Commission an original custom portrait, illustrated by Erin Wetzel (ekwetzel)! This listing is for a watercolor and ink portrait.
I can illustrate a photo and make your subject look realistic, I can turn the people in your photo into animals, or I can create an imaginative storybook scene for you, featuring characters that represent your loved ones! Check out the listing photos for a few ideas. The fee is the same in each instance: a base of $150 + an extra $50 per additional subject.
*Subjects include: people, babies, pets. For groups over 8 subjects, contact me directly via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss your painting.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Purchase this listing
- Email me (email@example.com) one of the following:
- A photo to illustrate OR
- A social media feed, and I’ll choose my own photo.
- If desired, I can email you a gift certificate that you can print and present to your giftee for the holidays. If you’d like this, just let me know.
While I will take your input into consideration, I do my best work when you place your trust in my creativity and I have as much autonomy as possible. If there are any particular details you want in your portrait, you must inform me of them before I start work on your sketch or they will not be included.
The sizes I work on are 5×7, 8×10, 9×12 and 11×15 inch watercolor paper. I will choose the most appropriate size for your portrait at my own discretion. If we agree beforehand, you may upgrade your portrait to a larger size, for a fee. Please communicate directly with me about this if it is something you are interested in.
I will give you a projection of what the portrait should look like, and the final portrait may vary from that projection at any time. Such is the nature of the creative process.
Since I put time into each piece, purchases are non-refundable.
You will get an update with a sketch of the work before I commit paint to paper, and I will send you a photo of the completed work before mailing it to you. These updates are NOT for editing purposes; they are courtesy updates. Because of the nature of my work, I am unable to make major changes once the ink and paint are on paper. Please understand that I will do whatever I can to make sure you are satisfied, but because I put in time to each picture, there are no refunds.
TURN AROUND TIME:
I complete commissions on a first-come-first-serve basis. I will mail your finished painting to the address on your Paypal account; please check to make sure that it is up-to-date. Shipping insurance is not included in the standard invoice; if desired, please contact me.
There is an optional RUSH FEE of $100 to bump you to the front of my line and expedite the painting, but we must agree on the terms for this beforehand.
Everything sound good? Terrific!
Have any questions? Shoot me a message or email me: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Final artwork will be packaged in a protective cellophane sleeve with backing board, and shipped to you in a sturdy cardboard mailer. If you purchase multiple works, please note they will all be packaged in a single sleeve.
Orders are shipped First Class via USPS. Check shop details for shipping information. Please always check shop announcement for shipping announcements, as well as shop policies, before making a purchase.
I know that we all live crazy lives. In the event that you need to cancel the transaction BEFORE I start work, or if I receive no communication from you for an extended period, I will issue you a refund for your purchase, minus a 20% processing fee.
